SkyBus, ouch

So Claudine is on a trip in Vermont with Michael and Matthew. It was driven by the death of her cousin but they planned to visit for a week. They flew SkyBus up, and certainly intended to fly them home.

It’s a darn good thing she checked the web today. Had she shown up Tuesday to get on the plane it would have been really bad.

SkyBus

Fortunately she was able to find a flight that wasn’t too expensive. It involves a lay-over somewhere and she won’t get home until the evening.

dishers.com/Gallery/ has been restored

The original dishers.com photo gallery has been restored.   There are a few photos that aren’t in there but that won’t matter much.   Newer content is still posted to the picassa/Google Gallery, but that may change soon.

Claudine just picked up a camera on her trip to Vermont.  I’m sure she’ll be taking more and more photos to share.   Those will more than likely be posted in this gallery.

It’s official… Chris Henry is an idiot

I know it’s not news, and if it wasn’t clear before it is crystal clear now.

He finally got reinstated last year, played well, and all he had to do was stay out of trouble.

There’s no getting through to some folks.

Details here.

Mike McConnell made reiterated his prediction that within 3 years of being out of football this guy will either be dead or in prison.  I whole heartedly agree and suspect that being out of football is right around the corner.

What a waste of talent.

NFL Meetings

So I read this today:

“In other votes, the winner of the pre-game coin toss now can defer to receive the ball until the start of the second half.”

What?  So if you win the toss you had to receive?  I always though if you won the toss you had the option.  If you had the option and you chose to ‘Kick’, well isn’t that the same thing?

Maybe it only worked that way in video games, but I’m fairy certain the ref has asked “If they want the ball”, then the other team gets to choose which end to defend.

So I don’t get what there is to decide here or why there’s a new rule.
