From scratch, that’s just what I wanted to do today.  But it’s OK, it needed it.  Lots of cobwebs and photos were in the wrong place anyway.

It’s all good.
We now have a little WordPress/Gallery Integration going on. Because this server is a bit dated (read Ssssllllooowww), I’m not pulling a random imaged everytime. It’s just a daily image. (It generates the thumbnail on the fly, which given that it’s running Winblows and none of this stuff is optimized for that it’s doing OK I suppose.

Giddyup.

This I know because I tried to update it from 2.0.0 to the latest 2.1.1 and it didn’t like that. :/

Grrrrr….  Sometimes software just isn’t any fun.

Photography & Lenses.

With the kids being active in sports again, and with my wife’s prodding I’m starting to take an interest in photography again. I had a reasonable collection of 35mm Minolta based camera stuff that simply has no value now that the world has gone digital.

Now that I’ve made the switch I’m looking at the following lenses. If you have experience with either and or a good outlet to get any of these at a really good price let me know.

70-200mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor

The grand dady, with vibration reduction. Retails for about $1500 (ouch), supposed to buy you up to 3 shutter speeds.

80-200mm f/2.8D ED AF Zoom-Nikkor

The same thing withought vibration reduction. Retails for about $950.

Sigma APO 70-200mm F 2.8 EX DG/HSM

A non Nikon lens, Retails for $750-$800.
